Gran Melia Puerto Rico Hotel Opens with the Help of It's Innovative Website

When the Gran Melia Puerto Rico was introduced in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, on May 1, its website was ready to start booking its guests' reservations. THAT Agency constructed the www.granmeliapuertorico.com website in CSS (cascading style sheets), a table-less form of HTML. CSS allows for seamless graphic and text integration creating "clean" web development and design.

"The Booking Engine was built using Ruby on Rails technology," said Bill Teubner, President of THAT Agency, "and the reservations system was altered so no reservations could be made before May 1."

Ruby on Rails technology is an open source web framework for developing database back web applications.

THAT Agency will also be managing the Gran Melia Puerto Rico's monthly SEO efforts.

Gran Melia Puerto Rico was previously the all-inclusive Paradisus Puerto Rico, but the hotel has been improved and will convert to a traditional European plan resort.
