Tommy Thompson for President Campaign Wi-Fi TV Station Launches Today
Wi-Fi TV Station Provides Internet Users 24/7 Tommy Thompson TV Coverage
Wi-Fi TV Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WTVI), a leader in
bringing interactive TV to the Internet, is offering all qualified
candidates free and equal delivery of their own Wi-Fi TV President 2008
Station. These individual Wi-Fi TV Stations allow announced and prospective
presidential candidates to deliver their message directly to the voters.
There are no restraints on time, no traditional news media bias and
editing, and the messages are presented in a way that can be seen by
millions of Internet users.
Today, the Wi-Fi TV Station for Tommy Thompson for President 2008, has
launched at www.Wi-FiTV.com. The site is available under several
categories, and can be accessed directly at www.TommyT2008.com. (Wi-Fi TV
is free, and requires a one-time free sign up.)
"As a former Wisconsin resident, I was able to observe first hand Tommy's
years as Governor and later as Secretary of Health and Human Services. I
know Governor Thompson to be a pragmatic politician, able to put together
broad coalitions to solve difficult problems," said Bill Schereck, the
Wi-Fi TV representative, now living in Dallas, Texas, who brokered the
Governor Thompson Television Station. He added, "I know that when voters
have a chance to hear him discuss the important issues in depth, not just
in sound bites, that his standing will increase rapidly. Wi-Fi TV could
become his campaign's most important asset."
(Mr. Schereck's views are his own, and do not necessarily reflect the
opinion of Wi-Fi TV which shall remain neutral in the Presidential race.)
"No other web site besides Wi-Fi TV is allowing qualified Presidential
candidates to air their views on their own TV Station unfiltered by the
biases of traditional news media and without the great costs usually
involved in trying to reach a global audience. This is truly a public
service that uses the technology and business strength of Wi-Fi TV for the
good of citizens and in a positive way for the future," Mr. Schereck added.
About Thompson 2008
The Thompson campaign has stated:
Tommy Thompson is the reliable conservative in the 2008 presidential race.
Why?
* Gov. Thompson called on the Bush Administration and Iraqi leaders to move
aggressively to divide the country into eighteen regional governments with
democratically-elected leaders and autonomous decision making.
"The sectarian violence in Iraq is threatening to completely destabilize
the country. It's becoming increasingly clear that a military solution is
unlikely; a political solution must be implemented. The United States must
bring all the power it has to bear on the Iraqi government to empower each
of the eighteen regions to elect local governments with autonomous decision
making ability," said Thompson.
"Oil revenues need to be split amongst the federal government,
newly-empowered state governments, and the people. We need to change the
framework quickly for hope in Iraq; failure to do this will lead to more
chaos, more sectarian violence, and more American deaths," said Thompson.
-- Tommy Thompson is the father of welfare reform, creating the
groundbreaking Wisconsin Works program in Wisconsin that became the model
for national and international reforms.
-- Tommy Thompson created the first school choice program in the nation,
giving thousands of Milwaukee students the choice of where they go to
school -- no matter where they live or how much money their parents make.
-- As Governor, Tommy Thompson cut taxes 91 times to save taxpayers $16.4
billion.
-- As Governor, Tommy Thompson used his veto pen more than 1,900 times to
save taxpayers $287 million.
-- Governor Thompson's policies helped create more than 742,000 jobs.
-- Governor Thompson signed a ban on partial-birth abortion.
-- Under Governor Thompson, the number of adoptions in Wisconsin
increased by 22 percent, while the number of abortions decreased by 37
percent.
-- Governor Thompson appointed strict constructionist judges who do not
legislate from the bench.
-- Governor Thompson introduced truth-in-sentencing to Wisconsin,
eliminating the charade of parole and mandatory release programs.
-- Governor Thompson signed legislation that banned Wisconsin communities
from passing anti-gun ordinances that are stricter than state law.
-- After 10 years of failed attempts, Tommy Thompson led the way in
introducing private-sector competition to the government-run Medicare
program as part of the new prescription drug benefit.
-- Tommy Thompson rebuilt an essentially non-existent bioterrorism
defense capability in the Department of Health and Human Services -- making
federal, state and local governments better prepared to respond to an
attack.
