Xponent Photonics Names Alex Leibovich Vice President of Sales

Xponent Photonics, the leading provider of PLC
optical components, today announced that Alex Leibovich has joined the
company as Vice President of Sales. Leibovich joins Xponent from Cortina
Systems where, as Vice President of Sales, he developed and managed
customers in North America, Japan, China, Europe and Korea.
"Alex Leibovich has a successful track record in leading key sales
initiatives, and his industry knowledge will prove to be invaluable to
Xponent," said Jeffrey S. Rittichier, Xponent President and CEO. "As we
broaden our product offering well beyond the FTTx market, Alex's sales
leadership will allow us to focus aggressively on customer needs."
"Xponent has achieved a technology leadership position that is the envy of
the FTTx optical component market," said Alex Leibovich. "I am very
excited about the opportunity to help expand this into other markets such
as CATV and high resolution displays and grow our market share worldwide."
Leibovich has held senior sales, marketing and business development
positions at Pine Photonics (acquired by OpNext), Auroranetics (acquired by
Cisco Systems), Picolight and AMP (now Tyco Electronics). He received an
MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from
Stanford University and a BS in Engineering & Applied Science from
California Institute of Technology.
