THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO - (CCNMatthews - May 16, 2007) - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (TSX:RBA)(NYSE:RBA), the world's largest auctioneer of industrial equipment, is holding an unreserved industrial auction in Thunder Bay on Thursday, June 28, 2007. Although sale day is six weeks away, the public auction already features more than 150 items of industrial equipment and trucks, including a comprehensive selection of forestry equipment: log trailers and rigging, feller bunchers, skidders, tree chippers, and chip trailers. The Thunder Bay auction features a complete dispersal for a local construction company, John Buchanan & Sons Ltd.
"This is our first auction in Thunder Bay since 2002, and we're happy to be back with a great range of quality equipment for interested buyers in the area," said Brian Dykstra, Ritchie Bros. Area Manager. "We've got a good assortment of late model, heavy spec truck tractors, and a lot of late model, well-maintained logging equipment. But there's room for more-we'll be adding equipment until auction day."
Each year, Ritchie Bros. conducts more than 175 unreserved industrial auctions throughout the world. Like all Ritchie Bros. auctions, the Thunder Bay auction will be unreserved-meaning everything sells to the highest bidder on sale day, regardless of price. There are no minimum bids or reserve prices. Everything is sold "as is, where is." Registration is free and there are no buyers' premiums.
