US Patent Alters Behaviour of American Cats
Innovative New Pet Product Is Literally the "Cat's Meow" and Nothing Short of Revolutionary

With the recent issuing of its United
States Utility Patent, the Scratch Lounge has set a chain of events into
motion that will change the daily routine of cats everywhere. The result
is a product so habit-forming that cats commonly spend a quarter to half of
their lives sitting, sleeping, kneading and snuggling on the Scratch
Lounge.

The Scratch Lounge's simple, yet functional design has substantially
improved upon the conventional cat scratcher by tapping into a whole new
aspect of cat psychology. Cats have an instinctual need to scratch and
compress. Now for the first time cats can do both of these things in one
place. Inventor Frank Novak says, "Most cats immediately jump into the
Scratch Lounge as if they have been waiting for it to arrive."
The Scratch Lounge received a US Utility Patent # 7,117,821 for its unique
design that cats use ten times longer than conventional scratchers. The
Scratch Lounge has also received the Editor's Choice Award for 'Best New
Product' of 2006 by Pet Product News.
Novak, also founder of Modernica Inc., a design and manufacturing company
based in Los Angeles, named twice by INC Magazine as one of America's 500
fastest growing companies declares that, "Exceptional design is not just
for humans anymore."
