GeneThera Announces 10th Case of Mad Cow in Canada

GeneThera, Inc. (OTCBB: GTHA) announced today that Canada's Canadian Food Inspection Agency has confirmed Canada's 10th case of Mad Cow.

The agency says it appears the 5 1/2-year-old cow was exposed to a small amount of infected material, likely during its first year of life. The agency is now checking other animals born about the same time and is trying to find out how the infection happened. In April of last year, another Canadian dairy cow was found with mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy, and the food inspection agency said that case was caused by contaminated feed.

Eating meat products contaminated with Mad Cow has been linked to more than 150 human deaths, mostly in Britain, from variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a rare and nerve disease.

There have been three confirmed cases of mad cow disease in U.S. animals.
