Deer Valley Corporation Resumes Full Production Schedule
Deer Valley Corporation ("Deer Valley" or the
"Company") (OTCBB: DVLY) confirmed today that, beginning in mid-April, the
Company had resumed normal five day per week production schedules at both
of its Alabama plants. The Company had previously forecasted that the
reduced, four day per week production schedule, which prevailed during the
first quarter, would continue throughout the second quarter.
The President of Deer Valley Homebuilders, Inc., the Company's operating
subsidiary, Mr. Joel Logan, commented, "Our back-log is still below the
level that it was at this time in 2006; however, the seasonal increase in
activity at our authorized retail dealer locations is definitely having a
strong positive effect on second quarter sales." Mr. Logan continued by
saying, "We believe that the expansion of our product line to include a
variety of modular housing units, our reputation for high quality housing
products, and our location near the storm-damaged Gulf Coast are all
factors that combine to create a superb marketing opportunity. The recent
increase in government funding activity in the Gulf Coast area would appear
to further enhance that opportunity. If a significant fraction of the
quantity of the modular houses defined in our outstanding quotes become
confirmed orders, the brevity of our present two week backlog will cease to
be a concern."
