A tribute to you, Miss Norwood! (The picture off your homepage was so inspirational that I've included it among these!)

Dear Miss Norwood:

Congratulations, Miss Norwood, on your latest promotion to Cadet Master Sergeant in the Air Force JROTC program! Your accomplishments as a teenager are remarkable! Well on your way to becoming my hero, your willingness to protect our nation, so that we all may live in peace, is more of what our nation desperately needs!

As a Viet Nam Era Veteran, my respect for you men and women of service runs so deeply that I cannot view the following pictures without shedding tears! You may have already seen these; but here, Miss Norwood, they are all dedicated to you personally. Thank you again for your borrowed picture!

If, in fact, you feel touched by these, then volumes are spoken about the positive effect I had imagined for their intended purpose: first, to create a stunningly respectful tribute to you and our nation's heroes. I wanted to let all of you know how I, and others like me, feel about your standing against tyranny in spite of the possibly traitorous actions of some of our nations officials! Secondly, that these images will not only serve to warm the hearts of you heroes, but will also light up the lives of your loved ones who must stay behind so that you can make it all happen!

Again, you heroes are the ones for whom the hopefully appropriately respectful captions are written, out of a deeply held respect for everything you do! To the rest of us: although I'm sure you have already done so, please include in your prayers our brave men and women who do not hesitate to lay their lives on the line so that you and I may enjoy the gifts of peace and freedom, bought and paid for by their many sacrifices!
