Forum for Fixed and Mobile Telecom Providers Explores Best Practices in Delivering VoIP Services to SMBs, Enterprises and Residential End-Users

BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP
application software, today announced that it will host the "Korea VoIP
Industry Forum 2007" at COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul on May 9.
This is the second consecutive year BroadSoft has held the Korea VoIP
Industry Forum. At this year's VoIP forum, BroadSoft will present more
effective ways service providers can deploy and utilize VoIP solutions for
enterprises, small and medium businesses and residential customers. Forum
attendees will include representatives from Korea's leading telecom
companies, including KT, Samsung
Networks Inc., SK Telink, Dacom and Hanaro.
"Adoption of VoIP is now picking up steam after the government announced a
plan to promote VoIP service in March this year," said Hak-Song Park, a
noted telecom veteran and senior counselor of BroadSoft's Korea division,
who is honorary chairman of the Korea VoIP Industry Forum. "This year's
forum will promote sharing of information among service providers that are
increasingly turning to VoIP platforms to roll out add-on services."
BroadSoft will present case studies of its successful VoIP and IP Multimedia
Subsystem (IMS) deployments with major telecoms in overseas markets.
Also, BroadSoft will share best practices and strategies for promoting and
delivering advanced voice services to business and residential customers.
"BroadSoft solutions not only deliver a wide range of offerings on a single
platform, but also allow installation into all types of networks -- both
existing and IMS. By leveraging BroadSoft's BroadWorks® platform, service
providers can also create many different service models," said Myung-Kyoo
Choi, regional vice president of BroadSoft in Korea. "Our VoIP solutions
are flexible and differentiable, allowing providers to easily develop
add-on offerings while using existing equipment."
The Korea VoIP Industry Forum is an
invitation-only event. For more information, call +8-22-737-2944.
