40% of Russia's arms exports go to India and 80% of India's armed forces are equipped by weapons of Russian manufacture. Though Moscow has been increasing its relations with Islamabad, in realization Pakistan is about to experience its most successful war, Moscow does not want to lose contact with the part of the Indian sub-continent controlled by Hindus and secular non-Muslims. Moscow also intends to play an active role in intercepting any further military exports from China to Iran.
