CLEVELAND, Ohio - Apr. 5 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting (OICB) hosted its hallmark annual job fair on April 4th at the schools' Cleveland, Ohio campus. Employers from over 140 media outlets attended, making it the largest dedicated broadcast media job fair in the United States. Participants included Fox, ABC, NBC, CW and CBS TV, Radio Disney, ClearChannel Radio, Rubber City Radio Group and Fox Sports Radio among many other local, regional, and national media outlets.

Graduates from across the nation had the opportunity to network and conduct "live" job interviews with numerous media executives from top stations. Program Director, Meg Stevens of WKXA-Findlay, Ohio commented to OICB National Placement Director, Gary James, "Your grads are a breath of fresh air, and their passion reminds me why I got into radio in the first place."

The event also marked the debut of the new Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting Job Placement website: www.funjobsonair.com. The new site, to be officially launched later this month, allows students to upload their audio and video demos directly, along with resumes and other supporting materials, enabling employers to directly and discretely search OICB graduate talent. This innovative job placement tool is the first of its kind among broadcast media career schools, and will serve to improve the job search process for graduates and employers alike.

The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting are nationally accredited schools that provide the tools needed for pursuit of an exciting career in radio and television. Students develop expertise in all aspects of broadcast media (in front of the camera / microphone, and behind the scenes in audio and video production, etc) while learning from the broadcasting industry's top professionals. Students also work with industry professionals on a daily basis through unsurpassed internship opportunities in major markets.
