Classic Ms. Worldwide Title Revoked, Dawna Heising, Steps Down

Classic Ms Worldwide 2006, Dawna Heising, is relinquishing her title as Classic Ms Worldwide. According to Worldwide Pageant Executive Dr. Effie Horning, "Miss Heising was unable to fulfill her contract with our organization."
Dr. Horning declined to name a successor Ms Worldwide 2006, saying "we will release that information when it is appropriate."
The announcement comes on the heels of Miss USA barely hanging onto her coveted Mikimoto crown. Dr. Horning would not compare the two cases except to say, "Miss Heising has had many opportunities to fulfill her obligations and address the concerns raised. She has chosen not to do so."
Worldwide Pageant is not a traditional beauty pageant, but a "personal style" and "achievement" competition, dedicated to the philosophy that everyone has his or her own sense of style and beauty.
Worldwide Foundation is an international philanthropic organization dedicated to serving the world community. It is a designated National Leadership Organization through the Points of Light Foundation and the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. Worldwide hosts Service Excellence, Spirit of Excellence and Spirit of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People is Empowering) Awards. Open to the public, these awards recognize those who give of themselves serving the world community.
Known as "the crowns for the cure," the program has a special, trademarked pink ribbon design in the title-holders' crowns. Although the mission of Worldwide is to "cure the stigma, fear and disease of breast cancer," its good works benefit many other projects and organizations.
Worldwide has a program or competition for anyone, no matter what size, shape, marital status, or passion. Some pageants are strictly gown competitions, others are purely photogenic and others include talent shows and interviews.
