Fairington Inc. Development Corporation today announced that it will develop and build a 20-home subdivision in northwest Denton County designed to be one of the most energy efficient in the country. The use of ground-breaking building technology will signify a giant step forward for green building in North Texas. Today, Dan Fairman, president of Fairington Inc., signed an exclusive agreement with FutureStone Partners Limited of Forth Worth to supply NUDURA Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) building technology to deliver all the luxury and beauty of a custom home with the energy and environmental qualities that are being demanded by today's home buyer.

NUDURA ICF homes are built using stay-in-place polystyrene forms that are assembled like building blocks and comprise the exterior walls of the home. The forms are then filled with reinforcing steel and concrete. This means the shell of the home will be a solid concrete wall, able to withstand the rigors of time, the elements of wind, fire and rain, and providing incredible sound resistance. "Do not, however," warns Fairman, "think these will look like concrete bunkers. These houses will be absolutely beautiful. In fact, aside from the deeper window sills, you will not be able to visually distinguish between the NUDURA home and any other high-end custom home."
