GalleryPlayer Announces New CEO and Key Management Changes
New Executives to Accelerate Overall Company Growth in HD Lifestyle Imagery Category as HDTV Market Continues to Explode

GalleryPlayer, the pioneer in HD lifestyle
imagery, has announced a new CEO and several key management changes that
will be instrumental in driving the company's efforts to further expand HD
content's newest and fastest growing category, HD lifestyle imagery.
Kevin Akeroyd, who just a few months ago took over as the new CEO of the
company, has organized this seasoned management team to aggressively build
GalleryPlayer through new content acquisitions and partnerships, the
development of innovative technologies, and aggressively marketing its
stunning HD art and photography collections to additional cable and
satellite operators, the hospitality industry, broadband and beyond. A
proven leader, Akeroyd is the former CEO of The Loan Page, a leading
competitor of Lending Tree, and former Senior Vice President and General
Manager for Digital Impact, where under his leadership, the company became
a Top 20 Interactive Agency.
Bringing a wealth of experience to GalleryPlayer's senior management team
are Paul Brownlow, who has been promoted to Founder and Chief Technology
Officer, and Marty Levine, who has joined the company as Vice President,
Business Development and Sales.
"In order to execute upon our strategy of building one of the most
successful new categories in HD content, a solid management team was
essential," said Shawn Carolan, Managing Director at Menlo Ventures, the
company's lead investor. "With Kevin's proven track record, Paul's
relentless commitment to developing the best in new technologies, and
Marty's years of experience in business development, we are perfectly
positioned to secure GalleryPlayer's footprint in the industry."
Prior to this promotion, Brownlow served as Vice President, Technology, and
Founder of GalleryPlayer. He is a seasoned veteran of the industry, with
over 25 years of technology leadership and startup experience, specializing
in developing and adopting emerging technology and applying it to business
problems.
Prior to joining GalleryPlayer, Levine was a co-founder of EnGauge
Technologies, a technology and business development consulting firm. He
also served as Vice President of Business Development at iVAST, an MPEG-4
encoding, streaming server and authoring tools developer, where he executed
strategic alliances and licensing agreements with leading consumer
electronics, motion picture studios, and cable TV and interactive TV
platform developers.
