L&L Associates Tops $100 Million In Nassau County Tax Lien Purchases.

L&L Associates Holding Corp. ("L&L") , located in Garden City, N.Y., just completed its participation, for the 11th consecutive year, in Nassau County's annual sale of delinquent tax liens. Once again, L&L was the largest purchaser at the sale. This year's purchases at the Nassau sale, along with tax liens purchased from other local smaller municipalities, brings the total tax liens purchased and serviced by L&L in Nassau County to over $100 million.

The sale of tax liens provides local municipalities with much needed revenue, advances the collection of delinquent taxes, and has the effect of placing properties back on the active tax rolls. "In the ten-plus years that we have been working in Nassau County, we have significantly expedited the process of putting problem properties back on the tax rolls," said Wayne Lieberman, one of the founding principals of L&L.

Mr. Lieberman further explained that as a result of L&L's intimate knowledge of the local real estate and mortgage market, L&L is able to work with delinquent property owners in arranging for payment plans and/or mortgage financing.
