TIS's Strategic Move in the German Healthcare Market

eFLOW Selected to Automate the Mailroom of One of Germany's Largest Healthcare Insurance Companies

Top Image Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: TISA), the leading innovator of data capture solutions, announced today that BKK Essanelle, one of Germany's largest health insurance companies, selected to automate its mailroom classification process with eFLOW. This project marks the third time eFLOW is being selected to automate a large mailroom in the German healthcare market.

Seeking to improve the efficiency of its mailroom process, BKK Essanelle, supported by a prominent DMS consulting company, conducted a detailed technological evaluation of all leading data capture solution providers. The evaluation process ended with the selection of TIS's eFLOW Smart, the solution for automated sorting and routing of all the incoming information.

At the end of 2006, BKK Essanelle decided to implement eFLOW3 Platform at its HQ in Düsseldorf, where it will process up to 13,000 incoming mail items including structured and unstructured documents, on a daily basis. Smart, eFLOW module for unstructured information, will capture and understand those documents, then will classify them into more than 100 different classes that were defined in advance by BKK Essanelle.

Utilizing TIS's robust platform and especially its Freedom module (freeform technology), the insurants' information will be automatically extracted from the documents and transferred to BKK Essanelle's workflow.

To achieve the highest accuracy levels in data recognition in minimal time, the solution will also include a high-performance approximate search and matching solution. The Approximate search solution is based on complex algorithms and is fully integrated into the eFLOW platform. The joint solution enables information processing of multi-field documents over a large database, while dramatically reducing time and increasing efficiency.
