Crossfire War - 14 Somalia Civilians Killed in Islamist Attack on Ugandan Units

Night Watch: MOGADISHU - AKI reports, witnesses told Somalia's Radio Shabelle, as Ugandan troops were leaving Mogadishu international airport their armored convoy was attacked by Islamist groups by firing a rocket which missed and killed 10 civilians who had gathered at an intersection. A half-hour firefight resulted and four more civilians were killed in the crossfire.
The action happened Wednesday evening and was confirmed by Somali Deputy Defense Minister Salad Ali Jelle. Thursday morning two more cargo planes landed carrying more Ugandan troops. 800 Ugandan soldiers have arrived, as part of the African Union-Allied effort to keep Somalia and Northeast Africa from being controlled by Tehran through Islamic military-political organizations. Kampala is expected to send 200 more soldiers to join the Somali government troops and Ethiopian units that are stabilizing the country.
