Bennett Environmental Rights Offering Closed

Bennett Environmental Inc. (TSX: BEV) ("BEI" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that further to the Company's news releases dated December 15, 2006 and January 24, 2007 regarding BEI's rights offering to its shareholders resident in Canada and to eligible shareholders in the United States and other jurisdictions, a total of 5,403,735 common shares of the Company were subscribed for at a price of $0.75 per share for total gross proceeds of approximately $4,045,951.

The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to thank its shareholders who participated in and contributed to the success of the rights offering.
