Rochester Energy Corp. Announces Revocation of BCSC and OSC Cease Trade Orders
CALGARY, ALBERTA - (CCNMatthews - Feb. 23, 2007) - Rochester Energy Corp. ("Rochester") is pleased to announce that on February 20, 2007 and February 21, 2007, respectively, the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Ontario Securities Commission issued Orders revoking previously issued Cease Trade Orders respecting Rochester's securities.
As a result of these Orders, but subject to any applicable hold periods and all applicable securities laws in each jurisdiction, shares of Rochester are now freely tradeable in all provinces and territories of Canada. Shares of Rochester are not, however, currently posted for trading on any stock exchange or quotation system.
Rochester is a junior oil and gas company with head offices in Calgary, Alberta and is a reporting issuer in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Rochester's primary focus is the acquisition and exploration of oil and gas properties, with a particular focus on oilsands opportunities in Alberta.
