22nd Annual Captain Morgan's Jam on the River Memorial Day Weekend At Penn's Landing

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 23, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Still the Official Kick Off to Summer in Philadelphia, Captain Morgan's Jam on the River at Penn's Landing celebrated 20 years in 2005, and kicked off the next 20 years in May, 2006. The 22nd annual event will again take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-27, on the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. The Annual Philadelphia Festival attracts crowds of 20,000 to the waterfront, and has become one of the biggest "JAMBAND" festivals held inside a major city.

Electric Factory Concerts, who produces Jam on the River, has helped evolve this heritage, concert-driven festival through the years. Electric Factory Concerts has been one of the world's most respected and largest promoters and producers of live music for over 40 years.

Captain Morgan's Jam on the River is also the official start of the Summer Season at Penn's Landing. This year, Penn's Landing Corporation will proudly produce another season of free programming on the Great Plaza, the heart of Penn's Landing, and Philadelphia's premier riverfront entertainment destination.

The Summer Program Season presented by Independence Blue Cross will feature a diverse schedule of events including eleven multicultural festivals, spectacular concert series featuring smooth jazz, gospel, blues, R&B and singer songwriters, a new outdoor movie series, visiting ship tours, and more.
