Phoenix Motorcars Names Chief Financial Officer
Phoenix Motorcars, a
manufacturer of
battery-electric, freeway-speed fleet vehicles, has named Dennis
Hogan Chief Financial Officer and has promoted Bryon
Bliss to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Hogan will oversee all aspects of the company's financial management,
including financial reporting, strategic planning and investor relations.
Bliss will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic
marketing components to establish the company's role in the alternative
energy automotive industry.
"Dennis will be instrumental to the company's growth, and his extensive
background in financial management will be an asset to Phoenix Motorcars,"
says Dan
Elliott, CEO of Phoenix Motorcars.
Hogan comes to Phoenix Motorcars with over 20 years in the accounting and
finance fields. Previously, he was CFO/Controller at ProcessClaims, an
Internet-based company providing workflow automation to the insurance
industry. He also was CFO for Hi-Tech Collision, a chain of collision
repair shops.
Hogan received his Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of
Southern California, where he was a Trustee Scholar and elected Phi Beta
Kappa. In addition, he is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a
Certified Cash Manager (CCM), a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and
an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (EA).
"Bryon's promotion is a well-deserved recognition for his contribution to
our growth. He has allowed us to remain on target to manufacture and sell
500 fleet-ready, all-electric vehicles by year's end," added Elliott.
Bliss most recently served as Vice President of Sales and will continue to
develop, manage and guide sales activities for Phoenix Motorcars'
all-electric product lines. Additionally, Bliss will manage and work
closely with its agency-of-record, Wilkin Guge Marketing, on branding
and marketing initiatives to drive awareness of Phoenix's economical and
energy-efficient vehicles.
Phoenix Motorcars is aggressively targeting operators of fleet vehicles,
such as public utilities, public transportation and delivery services. This
market presents a significant opportunity as there are more than 200,000
fleet vehicles in the state of California alone, with an increasing number
of fleet operators now seeking freeway-capable, zero-emission, all-electric
vehicles.
