Crossfire War - Tehran - Islamabad Watch - South Asia Theatre: Tehran - Beijing - Riyadh - Dhaka - Kabul - Islamabad/Delhi; Two Explosions Hit Indo-Pak Express Train - At Least 65 Killed - Day Before Foreign Ministers Meeting in Delhi - Tehran's Timing

Night Watch: PANIPAT - The day before Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri is to arrive in Delhi for a three day meeting with India External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, two explosions hit the India-Pakistan Samjhauta Express train killing at least 65 people and wounding 13. The explosives used were IED, improvised explosive devices, the same kind used so often by Islamic units in Iraq, and supplied by Iran. This is Tehran's timing and with Islamabad's full knowledge.[KashmirObserver]

India Railway Minister Lalu Prasad responded, "... the intention behind the incident is clear-it is an attempt to derail the improving ties between India and Pakistan. Innocent people have been killed." The "improving ties" have been nothing more than diplomatic camouflage. There has been virtually no reduction to the hundreds of thousands of frontline troops both countries have maintained along the Line of Control, the heavily armed boundary that separates the two countries in Kashmir. Nor has either government limited its development of advanced weaponry.

And Musharraf has just returned from a nine capital tour, including Tehran, where he presented his Action Plan designed to unite the Islamic world and one of the most unifying issues for them is Delhi's oppressive rule in Kashmir. The intention may be to force India to respond by attacking Islamic militant bases in Pakistan, which would set off the fourth major war between them, one that Tehran is now prepared to enter. A lot of the missiles Iran's Revolutionary Guards are testing in their current three day maneuvers will be launched at India.

I suspect Delhi is conducting an investigation to determine who is responsible as they did after the Mumbai train bombings last July. India's investigation concluded Pakistan was directly involved.
