O.A.R. Unveil Spring Fling; Band Follows Sold Out Madison Square Garden Show With DVD & Two-CD Set; Wireless Subscribers to Receive Exclusive Live Download; Reduces Environmental Impact With CLIF Bar GreenNotes

Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R.
has announced details of their upcoming spring tour. The schedule begins
March 1st at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, New York, with dates
continuing through early May (see attached itinerary). The trek also
includes a March 11th performance at the annual Langerado Music Festival in
Sunrise, Florida.
On January 27th, O.A.R. played to a sold-out audience at their eagerly
awaited return to New York City's Madison Square Garden. This marked the
second time the band had filled the legendary venue, following their debut
appearance at the World's Most Famous Arena in January 2006.
The concert was filmed and recorded for an upcoming DVD and two-CD live
album, both slated for release later this year. In addition, fans who
subscribe to the O.A.R. Wireless list at www.ofarevolution.com/msg/ or by
texting* MEMORIES to 50505 can download a free live-at-MSG recording of the
band's performance of their hit single, "Love and Memories."
The Madison Square Garden show -- which featured support from Gomez -- was
the final date on the band's most recent itinerary. Throughout the tour,
O.A.R. partnered with CLIF Bar, a natural food company and their GreenNotes
campaign to promote environmental awareness, blazing a trail of positive
action by taking such environmentally conscious steps as using biodiesel to
fuel their tour buses; offsetting the tour's CO2 emissions through the
purchase of clean, renewable wind energy credits; using recycled paper and
soy-based inks for printed materials; providing organic cotton merchandise
options for fans; and minimizing the idling of tour buses. Further details
can be found at .
The Maryland-via-Ohio-based band recently reached a milestone moment in
their career by achieving cumulative record sales in excess of 1.2 million.
Since their formation in 1996, O.A.R. has blazed a unique grass-roots trail
across America, revealing their compelling musical vision through
near-constant touring. With their distinct rock-meets-reggae groove, fiery
improvisations, and introspective, heartfelt lyricism, the band has earned
a fervent following from coast to coast.
O.A.R. self-released their debut album, "THE WANDERER," in 1997, followed
two years later with the live studio recording, "SOULS AFLAME." The band's
third release, "RISEN," arrived in 2001 and debuted at #11 on Billboard's
"Internet Sales" chart and #66 on the "Top New Artists" ranking.
The double live album "ANY TIME NOW" was released in 2002, followed in 2003
by the band's acclaimed Everfine/Lava debut, "IN BETWEEN NOW AND THEN." A
second two-CD in-concert recording, "34th & 8th," was issued in 2004.
"STORIES OF A STRANGER," released in October 2005, has proven to be the
band's greatest success to date. The collection includes a pair of radio
hits in "Love And Memories" and "Heard The World," as well as "Lay Down,"
whose companion video clip was honored with the "Streaming Woodie" --
presented to the year's Most Downloaded Video -- at the 2006 "mtvU Woodie
Awards."
O.A.R. is: singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On,
bassist Benj Gershman, drummer Chris Culos, and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo.
