Cineplex Entertainment Expands Theatre Locations Showing MET Opera Performances

"The first three transmissions, Mozart's Magic Flute, Bellini's I Puritani and Tan Dun's The First Emperor have been a resounding success with many theatres having sold out in advance of the presentation and others selling out the day of the event," said Pat Marshall, Vice-President, Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. "This unique opportunity to show opera performances live via satellite in High Definition really is the next best thing to being at the Met. We have also added additional communities showing the opera based on guest demand."

In addition to the expanded theatre locations, Cineplex Entertainment will be showing encore presentations of Bellini's I Puritani on Saturday February 10th at 1:30 pm (EST)/10:30 am (PST) as well as Tan Dun's The First Emperor on Saturday March 10th at 1:30 pm (EST)/10:30 am (PST).
