Pole Position for Vertex In Global Utility & Energy Outsourcing Report

VERTEX, a leading international provider of outsourced business services and technology solutions, has been ranked No.1 energy & utility outsourcing provider in the Black Book of Outsourcing's "Top 50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" report 2006.

The best-selling 'Black Book of Outsourcing' by the Brown-Wilson Group, Inc., ranks Vertex the highest position in the 'Top 10 Utility & Energy BPO Outsourcing Providers' list beating stiff competition from other leading business process outsourcers Cap Gemini, Accenture, Infosys First data, LogicaCMG and EDS in the US base survey.

The global business process outsourcing companies were each evaluated on several criteria which included vendor recommendation, innovation, deployment, implementation and best of breed technology and process improvement.

The survey was completed by customers, analysts, employees and industry partners over 63 countries and is a significant achievement for Vertex, which is one of the UK's major customer management service suppliers. There were over 17,000 qualified responses contributing to this year's survey and consisted of questions about leadership impact and influence together with management performance, client satisfaction, employee satisfaction and organisational excellence.

The Brown-Wilson Group are making the energy & utility ranking announcement as part of their presentation entitled "Best Outsourcing Vendors, 2007" at the World Congress Conference - Supply Chain Management in Orlando this month, as well as at the Outsourcing Management Forum in February and The Outsourcing Management Institute awards in May.

Vertex has also been ranked 22nd by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and now forms part of the 'leaders category' in the first ever ranking of the world's top outsourcing providers - The Global Outsourcing 100.
