Duran Results from the Pasacancha Silver Target

Glenn O' Gorman, P. Eng., President of Duran Ventures Inc. (NEX BOARD: DRV.H), and David A. Bending, P.Geo., VP Exploration of Duran, both Qualified Persons as defined in National Instrument 43-101 are pleased to report additional underground sampling assay results from the Pasacancha Silver (Ag), Gold (Au), Lead (Pb), Zinc (Zn) Porphyry Target at the Aguila Project in Peru. Duran is earning a 50% interest in the 1,100 hectare Aguila Project in Ancash, Peru (June 23, 2003 news release) from MacMillan Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MMG).

The exploration work as reported was planned and supervised by Mr. Bending. All samples were delivered to BIS Inspectorate Laboratories in Lima, Peru for preparation and were subjected to ICP analysis following Aqua Regia digestion. Many assay results exceeded the ICP/AQR upper limits. All base metal samples whose values exceeded the upper limits were re-assayed using AQR/AA while Silver and Gold were re-assayed by fire assay followed by AA or Gravimetric finish at the BIS Inspectorate Laboratory in Reno, Nevada.

The Pasacancha Target represents an exciting new discovery for Duran. Duran has collected 405 rock chip samples to date from 1,180 metres of accessible underground tunnels. Sampling results from 172 of these were news released November 9, 2006. Results from the remaining samples have been received and compiled collectively with the previously released assays as tabulated below and shown on the attached sketch maps. An additional 2,400 metres of underground tunnels have been safely accessed and are in the process of being sampled. Work will continue to access more workings. It is estimated more than 10,000 metres of tunnels exist at Pasacancha. The Aguila Project also hosts the Aguila Main Copper (Cu) Molybdenum (Mo) Porphyry Target and the Aguila East Target thought to represent a second potential Cu-Mo target adjacent to the Aguila Main Target. A drilling permit application which will allow for drilling at all three targets including the Pasacancha is scheduled for January submission.

These assay results confirm that Duran has discovered a significant polymetallic porphyry system at the Pasacancha located approximately 2,000 metres east of the Aguila Cu-Mo porphyry targets. Duran's evaluation of Pasacancha is at an early stage. Initial mapping of the surface expression indicates that the target extends more than 2,000 metres in the north-south direction and has widths exceeding 250 metres in the east-west direction. The underground tunnels are located at an elevation several hundred metres below the surface expression of the Pasacancha. Assay results from the underground sampling along the San Ernesto Tunnel confirm that it is mineralized along its full length of 427 metres with an estimated east-west true width 258.8 metres with grades averaging 0.15 g Au/t; 62.0 g Ag/t; 0.12% Cu; 0.56% Pb; and 0.34% Zn. The accessible portion of the Purisima Tunnel was also mineralized along its full sampled length of 117 metres with an estimated true width 102.6 metres with grades averaging 0.13 g Au/t; 73.6 g Ag/t; 0.06% Cu; 0.92% Pb; and 0.46% Zn. The Asuncion Tunnel is mineralized over its full sampled length of 75.0 metres with an estimated true width of 73.5 metres with grades averaging 0.46 g Au/t; 41.4 g Ag/t; 0.02% Cu; 0.32% Pb; and 0.01% Zn.

The workings tabulated under the heading "Additional Sampling Results" were sampled by chip sampling along the walls of the tunnels. These tunnels follow N-NW trending shears which are associated with high metal values. These results are published herein for completeness but they have been excluded from the overall averages of the San Ernesto and Purisima Tunnels.
