Typhoon Exploration inc. (TSX VENTURE: TOO) is very pleased to release the National Instrument (NI) 43-101 compliant resource estimate at the Company's 100% owned Fayolle Property, located 35 kilometres NE of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.

InnovExplo Inc., of Val-d'Or, Quebec, has authorized Typhoon to release results of its mineral resources on a 400 meter long segment of the Fayolle gold mineralization. The undiluted and in-situ resource estimate according to different cut-off grades is summarized as follows:

(i) Calculations are in metric units with results were rounded to reflect their true estimated nature as recommended in National Instrument 43-101. Notes:

1. As defined by National instrument 43-101 standards, the Qualified Person responsible for the resource estimate is Mr. Alain Carrier, M.Sc., P. Geo., of InnovExplo Inc.;

2. Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves having a demonstrable economic viability;

3. The resources were compiled at various cut-off grades. The cut-off grades will require revisions depending on market conditions, including gold price, exchange rate and operating costs

4. Typhoon is not aware of any environmental, permitting, legal, claim title, taxation, socio-political, marketing or other constraints that could affect the resource estimate.

Typhoon's indicated category mineral resources at the 0.1 g/t gold cut-off total 39,397 ounces; whereas the Inferred resources are 148,609 ounces.

David Mc Donald, President and CEO of Typhon Exploration Inc. states " We are pleased with the resource estimate and with the opportunities that exist to continue expanding the resources based on the 1 kilometre long Fayolle -- Aiguebelle-Goldfields gold corridor. This resource is more in keeping with near surface development scenarios rather than just a global resource."

Typhoon is pursuing its planned 20,000 meter diamond drill campaign throughout the winter 2006-2007 season, targeting the Fayolle mineralization at depth and towards the west, and the extensions of Aiguebelle-Goldfields, with one of its objectives to link the two zones over a minimum distance of 800 meters.

The gold resource was estimated by the inverse squared method (ID(2)) on regular blocks inside 6 gold zones (#1, #2, #3, #4A, #4B and #5). High grade capping was done on the raw data and established at 40 g/t gold. Gold values were assigned to the computer generated blocks (5 meters in easting by 3 meters in elevation by 2.5 meters in northing) using 2.0 meter composite samples calculated from gold assay datasets of all drill holes in the mineralized zones. The resource was evaluated from drill hole results using a block model approach constrained within six (6) individual 3D wire-frames. The resource estimate was calculated using a specific gravity of 2.80 g/cm(3). The known mineralization lies from surface to a vertical depth of 250 meters and was delineated over a strike length of approximately 400 meters and a width of up to 300 meters. The complete National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report from InnovExplo Inc. will be posted shortly on SEDAR (at www.sedar.com) under Typhoon Exploration Inc.

In other developments, engineering firm GENIVAR, of Val-d'Or (Quebec), has completed the construction of an access road that gives Typhoon year round access to the Fayolle and Aiguebelle-Goldfields Property.

Mr. Jean Lafleur, P. Geo., Director and Technical Advisor, a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, supervised the preparation of the information in this news release.
