Night Watch: WASHINGTON – “As morning shows the day, January shows the year.” That is a very timely and ominous quote from the linked article from IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency) the official news site of Tehran’s Islamic government established by the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini when he returned from his four-month stay in a Paris suburb February 1979. The European leaders who visited Washington last week represent the established, historical business interests that thought they could use him and there are definitely established investment societies in the U. S. who have also designed to see Moscow conduct more invasions south toward the Persian Gulf, which takes Russia right through Iran. That would enable the West, through Russia, to have more control over the region’s vast industrial resources, mined and transported by inexpensive communist labor, reducing the costs of the resources. This past week three European leaders met with U. S. President George W. Bush in Washington. The first was the European Union Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana. Then German Chancellor Angela Merkel and finally the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso who has probably been chosen to be Solana’s successor, but instead of being based in Brussels will be based instead in Rome. The war against Tehran is obviously not concentrated around the North Atlantic but is forcing Europe to shift its focus in and east of the Mediterranean.
This is not the war or event projection that was planned when their predecessors met on January 4, 1979 on the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. Present were the heads of state France – President Valery Giscard d’Estaing, German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, British Prime Minister Leonard Callaghan and U. S. President Jimmy Carter. They decided, as they had been instructed by the strategic business interest they represented, even before they had arrived, to support the removal of the Shah of Iran and have him replaced by the destabilizing, extremist influence led by the Ayatollah Khomeini. They assumed Khomeini’s influence would not reach beyond Central Asia. Disturbances there would provide Russia its reasons for invading further south, in the name of stability, and almost never do Iranians (Persians) and Arab people work together.
However, those gathered in Guadeloupe were obviously misinformed and ill advised. They ignored the undercurrent of hatred within the Arab world for the West and its historical attempts to conquer, rule and manipulate them. The hatred was no secret but the West assumed it would never find a serious, crystallizing element and therefore did not take Arabs or other people in West Asia (Middle East) seriously; they were taken for granted instead, that they would never be a serious threat again. However, the governments ignored that they were heavily arming the region and sending back, from his final exile, the centralizing figure the Jihad idea needed, the Ayatollah Khomeini and his intelligent ability to lead Iran in and through its greatest crisis, against the West and its preparation of the crisis atmosphere Russia required. Khomeini would not live to see the Jihad but he would set the stage for the one who would lead it and Iran would not be by itself. China, Georgia and Southeast Europe also want to see the defeat of NATO and Vienna. Persia had not lost its ability to work with those who are not Persian.
So the European leaders who passed through Washington last week had the air of those attending the last rites, a memorial service of their former ability to control events and to a scheme that failed and not just concerning the Islamic world, but also in acknowledgement that their decision to divide Yugoslavia has put them completely out of position and opened the door for Iran to use the Balkans as their avenue of invasion into Europe. Athens and the rest of the Balkans will escort the invasion, since they hate Vienna again, even more than Tehran does, which is why Athens signed a security agreement with Belgrade late last year. Tehran signed a security agreement with Belgrade last January.
The crisis the European Commission had planned for Yugoslavia was intended as a showcase for the New World Order, an international display of the new spirit of unity and cooperation within Europe from the Atlantic to the Ural Mountains and Brussels – Vienna assumed it could be solved by a round of conferences, but they underestimated the impact of weapon dealers. Passing through the White House was an extremely grim realization that this is not 1957, when West Asia was easy to manipulate and not that heavily armed, but 2007.
The West’s current leadership has inherited a whirlwind, a firestorm. And they thought they could use Khomeini.
