Feb. 15 - 18: The 5th Annual Seattle Festival Of Improv Theater

Nineteen different groups in eleven different shows at two venues - University Theater and The Market Theater.

SEATTLE (EWORLDWIRE) Jan 11, 2007

Wing-It Productions and Unexpected Productions are excited to announce the 2007 Seattle Festival of Improv Theater. February 15 through 18, the 5th Annual Seattle Festival of Improv Theater (SFIT) will take place, featuring nineteen different groups in eleven different shows at two venues.

SFIT 2007 is also pleased to announce Emo Philips as the guest emcee for Friday night's shows at the Historic University Theater. On Saturday evening, Emo will be performing with the not-to-be-missed Chicago duo,
BASSPROV. For more information on Emo Philips, press photos and more, visit his website, 'http://www.emophilips.com'.

Speaking of special guests, SFIT is indeed lucky to have Screwbuki performing at this year's festival. Screwbuki, created by Hawaii's LooseScrews, is a 45-minute improvised kabuki play, performed in full kabuki make-up with wigs, kimono, sward, fans, umbrellas, samisen and an invisible stage assistant called a koken. Visit 'http://www.loosescrews.org' for more information on this crowd-pleasing and ground-breaking act.

SFIT2007 has performances at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at both the Historic University Theater (5510 University Way NE) and The Market Theater (1428 Post Alley). Tickets for all shows are $15 with all-access VIP passes available for $45. For complete scheduling info, and information on all of this year's performers, go to 'http://www.seattleimprov.com'.

SFIT 2007 is a co-production of the premier improv companies in Seattle, Wing-It Productions and Unexpected Productions, and is sponsored, in part, by AirTran and 4 Culture. SFIT is committed to bringing the most innovative and provocative long-form improv theater to Seattle every President's Day weekend. Last February SFIT 2006 crammed fifteen shows from around the country into Seattle's top two improvisational theater
venues.

The Seattle Festival of Improv Theater is an annual performing and teaching exposition of long-form improv comedy. The Festival showcases North America's most innovative and entertaining professional talent for Pacific
Northwest audiences. SFIT is also committed to raising the national profile of Seattle-based comedians and to helping build a "community of comedy" in western Washington through sponsoring classes, shows and other
events throughout the year.
