Feb. 16: Ebony 1st Impressions Mature Black Singles February Dinner and Dating Event

As 2007 starts, black singles find new ways to meet and build great relationships: the evening will include up to ten speed dates with a break for appetizers and a full course meal.

Oddly enough, the most enthusiastic response has been from gentlemen as opposed to ladies. Several men have already committed to the event as opposed to earlier events when the response was mostly women.

A first "solo" event will be held on February 16 in Columbia, Md. The evening will include up to ten "speed" or "hurry" dates with a break for appetizers and concluding with a full course meal.

The dating events were the combined brainchild of Michelle Smith Billups' late husband and herself. To meet the challenges that still face black singles, the events will begin again in 2007 after a two-year hiatus. The location will only be disclosed to participants to protect their privacy.
