           Public Reading - 7 p.m.

Location: Library and Archives Canada
          395 Wellington Street, Ottawa

The media are invited to meet the winners of the 2006 Governor General's Literary Awards during a reception and reading to be held on Thursday, December 14, starting at 5:30 p.m. The event is presented by Library and Archives Canada, in cooperation with the Canada Council for the Arts.

The masters of ceremonies for the evening will be Adrian Harewood, host of CBC Radio One's All in a Day and Melanie Riendeau, Arts reporter for la Premiere Chaine, Radio-Canada.

There will be media opportunities with the following winners between 5:30 and 7 p.m.:
