OTTAWA, ONTARIO - (CCNMatthews - Dec. 11, 2006) - Larry The Cable Guy, the hottest comedian in the U.S., will bring his unique brand of humor to Scotiabank Place on Wednesday, Feb. 7. After 19 years of gigs and rightwing radio commentary, his jokes about his family, videogames and bodily functions have made him one of the top-grossing (in more ways than one) comics in the U.S. Larry's solo dates have earned rave reviews and sellout crowds from coast to coast.

Larry burst onto the radio scene in 1992 as a character on a highly rated Tampa morning show and was subsequently syndicated. Larry The Cable Guy speaks with a thick Southern accent and tells outrageous stories about his fictitious family, he is known for catch phrases such as "Git-R-Done," and "Lord, I apologize". Today his wacky, outrageous and topical commentaries are carried daily in 14 markets on rock radio in the US. Larry is also a regular of Jeff Foxworthy's Country Countdown Show. In 2004, Larry, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall teamed up for the sketch comedy show Blue Collar TV on the WB Television Network.

His book, "Git-R-Done," debuted at number 26 on the New York Times bestseller list when it was released in Oct. 2005. Larry's first album release, Lord, I Apologize, reached gold status and was number one on the Billboard comedy chart for 15 weeks. Larry's DVD special Git-R-Done has sold more than a million copies and was certified multi-platinum. The special aired on Comedy Central and gave the network their second-biggest Sunday night ratings in the channel's history. Last year his tour out-grossed Chris Rock's and his second album, The Right to Bare Arms, debuted at #7 in the charts. In the past year, he starred in the film "Larry The Cable Guy: Health Inspector," and appeared in "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One For The Road" as well as lending his voice to the animated Disney film, "Cars" (as the voice of Toe Mater).

The hilariously funny, Larry The Cable Guy, the church-going, strip bar-aficionado, redneck know-it-all comedian, will be performing live at Scotiabank Place on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
