Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Persian Gulf - Caspian Theatre: Tehran - Kuwait - Makhachkala/Washington - Tokyo - Berlin - Moscow; Kuwait - Daghestan Increase Security - Economic Relations with Iran
Night Watch: KUWAIT - MAKHACHKALA - Moderate Islamic governments have become less diplomatic in voicing their support for Tehran and following its leadership. Kuwait Parliament Speaker Jassam al-Kaharafi underlined Kuwait's intention to expand their cooperation with Iran in all fields and singled out Iran's special position in West Asia (Middle East). "Kuwait is keen on expanding ties with Iran in economic, political and cultural fields." He added that such cooperation would strengthen and secure the region. Kuwait agrees with Iran's planned "strategic ambush" on Allied bases in the Persian Gulf. That would enable the Islamic world to accomplish one of the Jihad's economic priorities in causing an economic crisis in the industrialized world with the dramatic increase in the price of oil. [

In the North Caucasus Tehran is attempting to increase its industrial relations with Daghestan the autonomous Russian republic east of Chechnya, bordering the Caspian Sea. Daghestan, including its capital Makhachkala has experienced heavy fighting ever since it was invaded in August 1999 by Islamic groups supported by Tehran. Though the fighting seems to have died out Tehran is attempting to absorb the republic economically as well as spiritually by sending their Ambassador to Moscow Gholam-Reza Ansari to meet the republic's President Makhu Aliyev and its Prime Minister Shamil Zeinalov. They are negotiating joint investments, which Moscow will consider attacking when Russia is ready to attack Georgia and end the ongoing military standoff. Tehran has increased its relations with Tbilisi to such an extent Georgia has been able to greatly increase its defense budget. [IRNA]
His Excellency is also meeting the Friday Prayer Leader in Makhachkala. A prominent spiritual contact will enable Tehran to justify its planned offensives, on any front.
