Crossfire War - RIYADH WATCH - South Asia Theatre: Riyadh - Islamabad - Kabul - Tehran/Delhi; Saudi Arabia - Pakistan Begin Three Week Armed Forces "Sharp Sword" Maneuvers in Eastern Punjab - Beyond Diplomatic Support
Night Watch: BAHAWALPUR - Before the Khomeini revolution in Iran, 1979, the only support Islamabad would receive from the Islamic world, in its wars with Delhi, was diplomatic, perhaps also some financial support. But since Khomeini established Tehran's current Jihad government and with Riyadh in complete agreement, due to the purchase of the CSS-2 missiles from Beijing, with each missile possessing a 2,500 mile (4,000 km) range, there seems to be a friendly competition between Tehran, Beijing and Riyadh as to who can do more to assist Islamabad in its next major war with Delhi. As a continuation of their military cooperation for the past decade Saudi Arabia - Pakistan have just begun three weeks of maneuvers codenamed, "AL-SAMSAAM-2 (Sharp Sword),which involves mechanized units from Saudi Arabia operating with units of Pakistan's Armor-Artillery-Infantry-Air Forces near Bahawalpur in eastern Punjab. Though fighting in the next war will most likely erupt first in Kashmir, as India attacks Islamic bases in Pakistan's part of the battleground state, there will also be action all along the Pakistan/India border including along the Arabian Sea.
This is the strategic result of the Khomeini revolution.
