The Marine Core Character Touched To The Core, By Prestige Brands

  Share With Friends

Americans receive another direct opportunity to help warriors and their families in their attempt to survive once the Marines return to home after war.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (EWORLDWIRE) Nov 17, 2006

Self-sacrificing, courageous, dedicated and spirited are a few words that describe the core character of the United States Marine. Despite hundreds of ways to give back and to recognize the sacrifices of marines worldwide, the Marine-Corps has elected to permit American Prestige and Luxury Brands LLC to launch Semper Fi Cologne, a product available online at www.umsc-cologne.com, which directly assists returning Marines through donated funds.

With each cologne purchase, a $20 dollar donation is made to The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. The Semper Fi cologne becomes the perfect gift to recognize any son, father, or nephew - or any male. Aside from being an enjoyable product, nearly 50 percent of the price of the cologne is directly donated to the Semper Fi Fund.

A 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, The Semper Fi Fund of VA provides financial assistance to marines injured in combat and in training along with other service members injured while in direct support of marine units and their families. The assistance is critical and helps fund immediate travel, childcare, lodging or problems resulting from lost wages and long-term needs such as modified homes and vans. As advances in medical science ensure marines survive catastrophic injuries that they would never have survived during past wars, it is common for these self-sacrificing men and women to face extended hospital stays and endless years of rehabilitation services. The fund eases the burden for families which are not prepared or are ill-prepared, when the marine corps doesn't cover the entire expenses.

Semper Fi Cologne quite literally becomes more than a valuable purchase - it makes a difference in the lives of thousands of injured U.S. Marines and their families - giving back to those who have sacrificed precious family time, limbs and even lives.

Manufactured in the U.S., the cologne creation was inspired by the patriotic spirit and courage of the U.S. marines and sailors - to support and honor the service men and women and their families who offer the ultimate sacrifice. The creators of the cologne want American citizens to share the sense of bravery, strength and loyalty, and worked to create a fragrance able to capture and leave an impression upon those who purchase it.

Since September 11, 2001, United States marines have been on the front line in the war against terror. Their bravery and dedication have held a dear price - many have been wounded, some seriously, and some result in lifelong disabilities, says Usmc-Cologne.com spokesman Sheldon Greenbaum.

About Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund

On May 18, 2004, a small group of concerned Marine Corps spouses founded the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to provide financial grants and other assistance to the marines, sailors, and families of those injured serving the nation. In the summer of 2004, General Alfred M. Gray, the 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps, two retired general officers, and a retired sergeant major joined the group. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund has had over 1,400 cases and given more than $5 million in grants to wounded heroes and their families.
