Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Eurasia Theatre: Tehran - Beijing - Pyongyang - Kuala Lumpur - Islamabad/Moscow - Delhi - Brussels - Vienna - Rome; "Stabilized Our Nuclear Status" - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - Tehran Admits 60, 000 Uranium Enrichment Centrifuges

Night Watch: TEHRAN - Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been instructed by Iran's Defense Ministry to announce that Iran has achieved complete nuclear circulation, what the President called "stabilized our nuclear status" and that Iran intends to activate 60,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges. His statement was intended to imply the international community is now willing to accept this fait accompli, that Iran, like it or not, is a member of the nuclear club. [XINHUA]

But I suspect the best way to decipher this is to realize this is Tehran's way of hinting they can continue to produce nuclear warheads for their Shahab ballistic missiles on their own and are now less dependent on foreign support for its nuclear weapons program from Beijing, Kuala Lumpur (Scomi Precision Engineering), Islamabad and Pyongyang. In other words, even if sanctions are imposed and are strictly enforced, the Russian scientists working in Iran, alongside Iranian technicians, will be kept busy since Iran's nuclear facilities are now fully operational. Working in production facilities which were never inspected by the UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, or by the EU - 3, Paris-London-Berlin. The final result, accomplishment of Iran's 20 year nuclear weapons program. Tehran is now ready to test the missiles and warheads strategic effectiveness.

The President also announced celebrations for this achievement are being planned in Iran for February 1-11, their Ten Day Dawn celebrations which commemorates the Iranian Islamic Revolution led by the Ayatollah Khomeini. He returned from exile in the Paris suburb on February 1, 1979. Ahmadinejad also stated Iran's achievements in other fields will also be celebrated besides its nuclear weapons program. That could mean Iran, before February, may have already experienced some successes on the battlefield and not mostly against Israel. [IRNA]
