Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - South Asia Theatre: Tehran - Kabul - Islamabad/Delhi; Dry Season Action - Engagements in Jammu - Kashmir

Night Watch: SRINAGAR - Heavy engagements continue in Jammu-Kashmir and there is no sign of a let up during the winter months. Both India/Pakistan may be capable of continuing the war in all kinds of weather short of a massive snowfall. The Islamic militant unit Lashkar-e-Tayyaba set off a powerful explosive at India's army supply wing inside a high security zone in Bandipur. Another militant group attacked an army supply convoy on one of the state's - battlefield's major arteries, the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The unit Al Mansoorian claimed to have killed seven Indian security personnel and wounded three others in a firefight in Yamaryaeh forest at Kupawara. It was Al Mansoorian members who provided the suicide team that recently attacked a major municipal center in Srinagar in a gunbattle that lasted nearly 24 hours. [KASHMIROBSERVER]

Both Dehli and Islamabad are also quite prepared to engage each other on other fronts besides Jammu-Kashmir as they did in their first three wars. India/Pakistan have armies which are either deployed or can be deployed very quickly along the entire India/Pakistan border and with air support. Maneuvers, just completed by Iran, reveal they are ready to support Pakistan in a massive way with ground troops. There will also of course be a lot of naval action as the combatants attempt to cut off each other's overseas commerce.

That will catch a lot of international shipping in the crossfire, which will lead to involvement from other countries. I suspect most of the naval threat to shipping will come from Iran whose admiral has just announced their navy is in "full readiness". Tehran intends to use the next major war between Islamabad/Delhi in an attempt to control the South Asian economy. India was always one of the major objectives in Iran and the Jihad's economic agenda.
