Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Global Theatre: Tehran - Belgrade - Islamabad - Khartoum - Damascus/Vienna - Washington - Rome - Moscow - Cairo; Admiral Sajjad Kouchaki States Iran Navy in "Full Readiness" - Great Prophet II Wargames a "Great Success" - Tehran's Offensive Agenda Against "Arrogant" Targets

Night Watch: TEHRAN - The Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Navy Admiral Sajjad Kouchaki stated that the naval forces of Iran are now in "full readiness." And, "Iran's naval forces follow an all-out defensive strategy based on guidelines of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei." He added that the Great Prophet II wargames, due to end on the 12th, have been a great success. He continued by saying even the U.S. and Israel have confirmed Iran's armed forces are completely prepared in all areas of military and defensive strategy. "The forces cannot be confronted with hasty and ill-conceived measures." In effect the admiral is stating it is impossible for any country to destroy Iran's nuclear program or to defeat Iran with a few quick attacks. Kouchaki concluded by saying the navy was prepared to fight Israel, U. S. and "global arrogance." [IRNA]

As always, during the three series of wargames Tehran has waged throughout this year, their military leaders and Defense Ministry have stated publicy the maneuvers were only for defensive purposes. But for years Tehran has also claimed its nuclear program is for peace. Privately of course the officials know the truth and they probably believe the best defense is a good offense. Attack the enemies, "global arrogance" first and if that dosen't defeat the enemy it will at least weaken him and keep him off balance. 9/11 was a small indication of that strategy. Iran's obvious support for the Islamic fighters in Iraq is another, not to mention their use of Hezbollah and Palestinian militant groups who have not ceased their Qassam rocket attacks against southern Israel. The war against Israel, through Gaza, has not stopped. Tehran has obviously prepared Hezbollah to set off another round of fighting against Israel's "arrogance" and Iran will commit a few units in the name of supporting Palestinian people and Beirut.

But other "arrogant" targets Tehran takes more seriously. "The "arrogance" of Vienna and the European Union, which have been investigating Iran's nuclear weapons program. Tehran has prepared its reason to attack them by signing, last January, a security agreement with Belgrade, knowing that war is going to resume over Kosovo. The "arrogance" of Rome is being targeted since the Rome Conference has led Europe back into West Asia (Middle East) through Lebanon, a presence Tehran by no means welcomes. The "arrogance" of Washington will be further attacked when its bases in the Persian Gulf are hit as Tehran joins the war against Israel. The "arrogance" of Delhi will be attacked as Iran uses its security agreement with Islamabad as Tehran identifies with and supports the efforts of Islamic groups in Kashmir to end India's occupation.

Other "arrogant" capitals on Iran's offensive agenda is Moscow's "arrogance" in its Caucasus-Caspian policies, which Tehran views as its main obstacle to its rightful control over the resource rich region. And for that reason Tehran has made obvious overtures to Tbilisi, the Georgian capital that is involved in a direct military standoff with Moscow. Tehran intends for Moscow to experience another humbling defeat in the Caucaus as it did ten years ago duing the first Chechen war from 1994-96. Iran also hates Russia's "arrogance" for refusing to complete Iran's nuclear reactor at Bushehr on the Persian Gulf. It was supposed to have begun production of weapon's grade uranium-plutonium at least two years ago. Egypt President Hosni Mubarak and his "arrogance" will be attacked due to his refusal to support the Jihad in anyway. Mubarak is one of Iran's major targets for removal since he is the "arrogant" exception to Islamic unity.

With Iran's foreign policy planners being experts in crisis creation Tehran will make certain its military will not be idle for long. That is the reason for the past 20 years Iran has had terrorist units and militaries in place like Hezbollah and has formed serious military cooperation agreements with governments in flashpoints like the former Yugoslavia, South Asia and the Caucasus. The wargames success have now proved, at least to Tehran, they are ready to follow up on their propaganda and foreign policy priorities, which have been in place ever since the 1979 Iranian revolution led by the Ayatollah Khomeini.
