FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Nov. 1 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- GAMO, a world leader in the production of top quality accurate airguns and ammunition, announces that the sale of every Special Edition National Rifle Association (NRA) Father and Son precision airgun will directly benefit the NRA.

Send2Press photowireGAMO is offering two Special Editions: the Special Edition NRA Nitro 17; and the Special Edition NRA Recon.

"The Special Edition NRA Nitro 17 is a well-balanced .177 caliber air rifle that has everything a shooter could want," Lou Riley, Vice President of Operations and Finance for GAMO, said. "A single cock of the gun gives the shooter speeds of up to 1,000 feet per second."

The rifle comes with a 3-9x40 power adjustable objective air rifle scope that turns the rifle into a highly-accurate shooting machine that will provide hours of fun. It has a carbine length, all-weather composite stock and a new, high-tech polymer fluted barrel which enhances balance and reduces cocking effort.

The Special Edition NRA Recon is also a well-balanced .177 caliber air rifle designed for the younger set. Like the NRA Nitro, it is also a single cock gun that provides speeds of up to 525 feet per second. The rifle comes with a 4x20 rifle scope to ensure precision shooting.

"The NRA Recon is an ideal entry-level break barrel spring rifle suitable for younger or smaller shooters and should be used under adult supervision," Riley said. "This gun is an ideal teaching tool for target shooting, plinking, hitting spinners and more."

GAMO is steeped in history and dates back to the late 1880s when the company was known as Antonio Casas, S.A. They began manufacturing a variety of lead products in Barcelona, Spain and years later expanded to specializing in high-quality airgun pellets for the European market. With their expansion, they formed a new company - Industrias El Gamo - and began manufacturing high-quality performance airguns. The products quickly became popular all over Europe.

Today, GAMO uses the latest state-of-the art technology and superior quality control provides the latest advancement of precision airgun rifles.
