Tehran – Kabul – Dhaka – Islamabad/Delhi; Dr. Farooq Abdullah Warns “India Will Go Up in Flames” if Kashmir Leader is Executed on Oct. 20

Night Watch: DELHI – “One of the consequences will be – and I’m being straight and very honest on your program…” Dr. Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, then warned about the personal safety to the judges who convict Mohammd Afzal and he is hanged on October 20 for his role in the attack on India’s Parliament in 2001. An attack made in broad daylight when the Parliament was in session, in an attempt to kill India’s government.[KASHMIROBSERVER}

Dr. Abdullah was speaking on the CNN-IBN program Devil’s Advocate and his remarks have outlined why, since its independence in 1947, India has had the most fragile social stability in the world. Its independence was also called The Partition, the dividing of Britain’s south Asia empire into Muslim Pakistan and Hindu India, but of course there were millions of people of both religions in the two new nations.

The riots between Hindus and Muslims, before and after partition, were of unimaginable savagery and cruelty. Estimates are that a half million people were killed and 15 million were displaced. The population of both countries have at least doubled since then and the hatred has not subsided, it is always there beneath the surface, a hatred both people are quite proud of.

There was a small indication of that in 1998 when Delhi set off several nuclear test bombs, directed at Pakistan and Islamabad responded in like manner. Both populations were proud of it.

Dr. Abdullah continued, “…Secondly, this nation (India) will go up in flames because the terrorists will do such things which will destroy the relationship of the Hindus and Muslims here. Because one party, who are favouring the hanging, will go up and shout whatever they can and the relationship will grow so bad. You’ve seen the Bombay (Mumbai) blasts when thousands of Muslims were put in jail to extract information from them. I don’t want such things to happen in India, because some crook, some bad man will go and do something in a temple. Somebody will do something in a mosque. You think that won’t raise tragedies? Kashmir will any way go in flames… There will be (also) turmoil which India will have to face. I’m telling you.”

Regular readers of crossfirewar know that attacks by Islamic militants have increased in Kashmir this month to the point where there are several engagements in different parts of the state almost every day. Even just a month ago there were barely one a day.

There are also in place Islamic terror cells around India waiting to be told to go into action to cause as much disruption as possible. Most importantly, due to the impact of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, led by the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979, with the government it instituted and its offensive foreign policy, the conflict in South Asia is no longer between just Pakistan/India.

Friday is October 20, during Ramadan, on the Islamic holy day and the monsoon season is out of the way. I believe Dr. Abdullah knows what he is talking about. Hell could be unleashed. I suspect Tehran wants the execution and the demonic situation it could create, perhaps Islamabad and Delhi want it also.
