The Golden Scissors Awards stage is set for what promises to be a true fusion as stylist, influential movers and shakers, fashionistas and stylish Washingtonians converge on D.C. to celebrate what is guaranteed to be history in the making.

Created by Glynn Jackson, The Golden Scissors Awards program is the only one of its kind in the country. Jackson has created a platform that serves to evaluate, honor and award noteworthy, high caliber professionals in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries. The 2006 Hairtopia Tour of America with Glynn Jackson - Unleashed and On the Main Stage, presenting vignettes from the Tour - has been a resounding success.

Evening festivities will include the $10,000 grand prize for the overall winner; $1,000 Textures and Tones (Clairol) Colorist of the Year; $1,000 Milky Way Weave Master of the Year; $1,000 Joya Cosmetics Makeup Artist of the Year. Another exciting feature of the evening will consist of Historic Comb-out Celebrating Living Legends in the industry.
