CHAMBERSBURG, Penn. - Sept. 29 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Southern Bleacher Company, based in Graham, Tex., scored a win with its recent completion of Trojan Stadium in Chambersburg, Penn. The new stadium, which has a total seating capacity of over 7,000, is sure to entice more crowds and welcome home and visiting-team fans, alike.

The construction, which began in April, was completed in time for the first home football game in early September. It was constructed under the careful direction of general contractor, Waynesboro Construction Company.

A special ceremony is set to dedicate the $6.5 million facility with the presence of former players, coaches, key builders and decision makers who played a major role in construction of the stadium.

Southern Bleacher renovations included additional home-side stadium seating, a new press box and renovations to the visitor bleachers; they also added synthetic turf, a running track, concession stands, restrooms, ticket booths and parking lots.

Designed by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh and Associates in Mechanicsburg, Penn., the stadium sits integrated into the high school campus. Colored risers and vertical picket railings are among the details that enhance Trojan's stadium overall design.

This unique stadium, fabricated and installed by Southern Bleacher, allows fans to experience the full extent of the competition being waged on the playing field. From superior seating arrangements, to easy access amenities, this Southern Bleacher stadium is one of the best high school stadiums designed and constructed.

Southern Bleacher has received many compliments about Trojan Stadium.

In the "Public Opinion, Chambersburg's local newspaper, the superintendent of a neighboring school district commented on the "great value" Chambersburg was given for their dollar.

"It's a beautiful facility," Barry Purvis, principal at Chambersburg Area Senior High School said. "It was very well done, and is so fan friendly. There is not a bad seat in the house. We are looking forward to many, many years of use."

Purvis added that the facility has been used by sports teams and gym classes nearly everyday since construction was completed.

Southern Bleacher Company is the nation's largest manufacturer of spectator seating. Their products can be viewed at all levels of competition from high schools, colleges, major league stadiums to NASCAR facilities across the U.S.

Since 1946, Southern Bleacher has worked closely with planning committees, architects and contractors to build facilities that are aesthetically-pleasing, spectator friendly and cost effective.
