Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Central Asia Theatre: Tehran - Kabul - Islamabad/Brussels; Tehran - Islamabad Direct Islamic Mercenaries - Chechen Fighters to Engage NATO in Afghanistan - War to Increase after Poppy (Opium) Harvest

Night Watch: KABUL - Tehran-Islamabad are directing more Islamic fighters to Afghanistan. That has been reported by London's Daily Mirror recently, based on an intelligence report, from an unamed agency. The hundreds of foreign, non-Afghan Islamic fighters include Chechens, which had been engaging Russia since 1994.

This answers my question as to why, since the spring, had there been reduced fighting in the northern Caucasus. It is no secret that the two main enemies of Tehran are the West and India. With Brussels-NATO increasing its troop presence in the narco-state of Afghanistan it stands to reason Tehran wants to increase the fighting in the Central Asian trap as they have done in Iraq to the lost alliance of London-Washington. The more units Brussels is forced to commit to its proud power projection beyond Europe the fewer NATO units will be able to confront Tehran and Serbia in the Balkans. The intelligence report stated that recently a 100-strong force of Islamic fighters crossed into Afghanistan, I assume from Pakistan, though they can also easily cross into the country from Iran. It also mentioned two units of 40 men each also entered the country. Islamabad has also released a lot of Taliban prisoners they had held into the country. These moves may be the result of constant negotiations Tehran-Islamabad have been conducting with the adminstration of President Hamid Karzai as all three capitals increase their regional cooperation.

The intelligence reported that the conflict in Afghanistan has now taken on the dimension of an East-West confrontation. Tehran is leading the Islamic East in their war for spheres of influence against the West as Tehran has been doing in the Middle East (Western Asia). The report also mentioned the seasonal impact on this front. With the end of the poppy (opium) harvest more Taliban fighters will be able to engage NATO. This year Afghan farmers have experienced a record crop. Brussels' power projection is protecting the drug trade instead of directing its projection in attacks on Iran, the center of terrorism.
