Telenor and Teleca win Global Excellence in BPM & Workflow Awards

Teleca today announced that its customer Telenor won the silver award at the industry recognized Global Excellence in Business Process Management (BPM) and Workflow Awards for innovation and excellence in business process management (BPM). Sponsored jointly by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and the Workflow And Reengineering International Association (WARIA), these prestigious industry awards are now in their 17th year.

Teleca has successfully helped Telenor in Norway to implement a new business process management (BPM) system called Spider. The solution has enabled Telenor to handle highly increased volume of orders (+400%) with 30% fewer employee resources. Spider has also led to cost-savings through shared contractor agreements. This achievement helped secure a Silver Winner award in the pan Europe region and is a significant achievement in the face of the heavy competition.

"The implementation of the Spider project enabled us to improve our efficiency considerably. Teleca is a leading provider of BPM-based solutions in Europe, and we've been very satisfied with our collaboration on this project," says Jon-Omund Revhaug, senior advisor at Telenor.

As a systems integrator, Teleca has helped Telenor to implement an IT system that supports the new network infrastructure rollout process and organisation. The approach is based on the idea of a portfolio of standardised infrastructure products and automated business processes supporting all types of infrastructure networks - IP, mobile, fixed and cable TV - in a convergent way.

"BPM solutions can help operators significantly improve their efficiency, with very high returns on investments," says Magnus Andersson, sales director at Teleca's Integration and Business Process Management Solutions unit. "It's been very exciting working with Telenor, and we're very proud of the results we've achieved together."
