MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Flight Explorer, a global flight tracking, information technology and communications solutions provider to the aviation community, today announced that Sentient Jet has extended its contract for Flight Explorer's FE Professional(tm) Aircraft Situation Display (ASD) system for the company's flight management operations.

"The Flight Explorer application has been useful for Sentient as part of our ongoing focus on providing exceptional customer service," said Caroline Shin, Vice President of Client Management for Sentient Jet. "During the past four years, the powerful features and alerting capabilities provided by their ASD have made it an essential component of our flight operations center."

With FE Professional, Sentient is able to track and monitor flights for its members, utilize real-time and predictive tools to anticipate arrival and departure delays due to weather and congestion, capture valuable flight information for flight operations, and monitor the airspace with event-based alerts. The integration of this real-time information into Sentient's overall operations helps the company provide superior customer service.

"Sentient Jet is one of the fastest growing companies in the private jet industry based on their flexible membership model," said Flight Explorer CEO Jim Kelly. "We look forward to continuing to work with Sentient to provide the flight management tools they need to support their growth objectives and continued commitment to operational excellence and outstanding customer service."

With an installed base of over 2,000 systems, FE Professional is the world's leading ASD. Flight Explorer Professional 6.2 was released on August 15, 2006. With Version 6.2, customers can now receive proactive alerts based on Meteorological Aerodrome Reports (METARs), Runway Visual Range (RVR) data, FAA airport delays and real-time diversions.
