New U.S. Women's Partnership Sets Up Solution to Healthcare Crisis

Revolutionary Solution to Healthcare Crisis Behind New U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce Partnership

The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce is partnering with IGP Technologies Inc. to offer an immediate healthcare solution to hundreds of thousands of business owners and millions of consumers across the country.

They created SelfMD, a revolutionary web-based self-diagnostic tool designed for consumers, to empower people to make better decisions about their health care needs. It also enables physicians to offer more accurate diagnoses and it reduces overall healthcare costs and delivery inefficiencies.

The National Press Club is hosting a press conference, led by the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce, on Thursday, Sept. 7, in the First Amendment Room, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy G. Thompson will discuss how new technology and patient-centered tools - such as SelfMD - are helping reshape America's health care marketplace.

During the press event, USWCC CEO Margot Dorfman will review the chamber's "Access to Affordable Healthcare Initiative" and solutions available to women and small business owners through its resource arm, USWCC New Deal. IGP Technologies CEO Dennis Harris will explain how SelfMD was developed and tested, and how it's being used today by consumers, businesses and the U.S. Army.

"We need solutions that help us take charge of own health care," says Dorfman. "While policy debates go on and reforms slowly take shape, our members need help now - help in assessing their risks and needs, affording coverage for themselves and their employees, even improving the odds of receiving quality services the next time they visit the doctor," Dorfman adds. "SelfMD is a health care solution for everyone - and it's available right now."
