Cyclists to Celebrate "Pedals Around the World"
Yardley, PA, - On Saturday, September 23, families in Bucks County are invited to pedal a 10-mile stretch along the Delaware River in celebration of a new program called Pedals Around the World, (P.A.W.), launched by His Work In Progress, (HWIP.)
Registration for the family bike ride begins at 8AM at the Yardley Inn, East Afton and Delaware Avenues in Yardley. Registration is $30 per person or $50 per family. Individual participants will receive one free T-shirt; each family will receive three free T-shirts. The event will be held rain or shine.
Pedals Around the World is a new program from HWIP designed to let kids help other kids in need. Children do this by donating (good condition) bicycles they've outgrown. Volunteer technicians at Endurance Sports make sure that the bicycles are in good working order. Then, P.A.W. delivers the bikes to needy kids in our area and around the world. To donate a bike, call HWIP at 215-741-4947 or Endurance Sports at 215-369-0225.
Pre-registration for the Pedals Around the World ride is strongly suggested. Shirts are available while quantities last. Forms are available at Endurance Sports, 1617 Big Oak Road, Yardley, (Kohl's shopping center) or online at http://www.hwip.org.
The donation of a bike is tax deductible. Time to clean out the garage!
