LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- On Monday, September 18, 17 well-known actors who perform with bands, will join forces with Philly Chick Pictures to put on a benefit concert, called CELEBRATE LIFE!, with 100% of the proceeds going to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The event will be held at the Knitting Factory. 7021 Hollywood Boulevard, from 7:00pm to midnight. The $20 advance ticket charge ($25 at the door) will go entirely to the charity. To purchase tickets, visit www.Knittingfactory.com, or www.Phillychickpictures.com.

Philly Chick Pictures is a Los Angeles-based, independent film company created by Brooke Lewis to develop and produce short films, feature films and television pilots. Lewis' goal as a filmmaker is to create projects that contribute to a greater cause and involve the cast and crew to contribute toward this larger purpose.

Philly Chick's current project, Wake (starring Eric Etebari of Witchblade; 2 Fast 2 Furious and David Chokachi of Baywatch; Beyond The Break), revolves around suicide and the circle of friends and family affected by such tragedy.

As the production company researched the story of Wake, they were introduced to many organizations and volunteers dedicated to suicide prevention, education and awareness. These committed people inspired Lewis and her cast and crew to create a fundraising event to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

CELEBRATE LIFE! special guests/performers include: David Chokachi of Baywatch; Wake; Eric Etebari of Witchblade; Wake performing with Knuckles & The Knockouts; Glenn Howerton of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Sam Witwer of Battlestar Galactica and Brian Taylor of Crank performing with The Crashtones; Carolina Hoyos of MTV Hits; Ryan William Mooney - Take A Deep Breath; Patrick Muldoon of Starship Troopers performing with The Sleeping Masses; Erik Palladino of Over There performing with Hearing Red; Ed Quinn of Eureka; Johnny Renzulli of The Next Race: The Remote Viewings and Seth Arkin performing with Brooklyn Foreplay; The Chris Thompson Band - Blinded By The Light; Gunner Wright of Motoworld performing with Gunner & Friends; MC - Mike Marino who has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno; DJ, Jasten King; and raffle host - Leah Ann Cevoli of Deadwood.
