Delta Customers in Select North and South Carolina Cities May Change Travel Plans Without Penalties or Fees

ATLANTA, Aug. 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines customers booked on flights traveling to or from select cities in North and South Carolina may make adjustments to their travel schedule due to the impact of Tropical Storm Ernesto. Delta has proactively cancelled some flights because of the storm, and is currently assisting customers with their travel plans.

Impacted cities include the following :

  -- Florence, S.C.
  -- Myrtle Beach, S.C.
  -- Charleston, S.C.
  -- Fayetteville, N.C.
  -- Wilmington, N.C.
  -- Kinston, N.C.

Customers who have purchased tickets by Aug. 31, 2006, and are scheduled to travel Aug. 31 through Sept. 1, 2006, to, from or through the affected cities on Delta, Delta Connection(r), or Delta-coded flights, may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed and new travel originates on or before Sept. 2, 2006.

Customers may fly prior to their original departure time without penalty, and those whose flights are cancelled may request refunds.

Changes to origins and destinations may result in a fare increase, and any fare difference between the original and new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking.

Additional cities may be impacted by Tropical Storm Ernesto and customers are encouraged to visit delta.com/travelupdates or call 1-800-325-1999 for flight status. For the latest information on airport operations, customers should check the appropriate local airport Web sites.
