Crossfire War - 20 Years to Late - US - Allies Impose Pathetic Sanctions on Iran

Crossfire War - TEHRAN WATCH - Eurasia Theatre: Tehran - Beijing - Islamabad/Vienna - Washington - Berlin; US - European Allies Considering Imposing Laughable Three Tier Level Sanctions to Prevent Iran 20 Year Nuclear Weapons Program - 20 Years too Late
Night Watch: VIENNA - The New York Times is reporting that Washington and its European Allies, principally Berlin, London and Paris are considering imposing a three tier level of sanctions to prevent Tehran's 20 year nuclear program. The reason why this is so laughable and pathetic is that they are 20 years too late. Since it has finally dawned on the West that Iran is targeting them more than Israel the West has finally decided to prevent Iran's nuclear program from developing something they already have, nuclear weapons.[
TURKISHPRESS]
In 1998, after Islamabad responded to the nuclear weapons test by Delhi, by setting off a series nuclear explosions, Iran Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi visited Pakistan and praised what he called the Islamic bomb. Whatever Pakistan has Iran has also. What Tehran has been perfecting are its missile delivery systems, some of which will be launched at India. Regular readers of crossfirewar.com know that I have often mentioned Iran is working at underground facilities constructed by the engineering service headquarted in San Franscisco that was invited to Iran the day after the Gulf War ended 15 years ago via its London branch office as shown on CNN. Tehran has essentially hired and taken advantage of the corporate-state enterprise syndrome which takes professional pride in circumventing any economic law ever written, under the direction of people who own the businesses.
But obviously Western governments and their foreign policy advisors have conveniently put that out of whatever mind they have left. That is why they are under the enormous illusion it will take Iran another 5-8 years before they have a nuclear weapon. Reuters reports that's the "assessment" of Iran's nuclear weapons program by military intelligence services connected to the Pentagon. That assessment is not worth the paper its printed on.[ASHARQALAWSAT]
The three level sanctions that have been mentioned are supposed to indicate the seriousness of the West's response and they will take so much time to implement Tehran would have used some of the weaponry already. The first level will include a travel ban on Iranian nuclear officials. This is ridiculous. Beijing and Islamabad are not about to prevent Iran's nuclear technicians and scientists from visiting their countries or comparing notes. Nor does this include a travel ban on the many Russian scientists that have been working in Iran since the end of the Cold War in the early 1990's. They might as well say Iranian diplomats will no longer be invited to dinner, or perhaps that will be the second tier.
The next, more serious level will be a ban on Iranian commercial flights and world bank loans. Then eventually, after the bombs and missiles have been launched, a ban on the export of nuclear material to Iran. Again, this is 20 years to late. Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamad Reza Asefi said on Iran state television, "The Islamic Republic is capable enough of confronting any challenges arising from sanctions. Sanctions will make the country stronger and the nation will find the way out of these pressures." Events are unfortunately proving him right. Tehran has been proceeding with no serious disruption to its foreign policy timetable and due to the enormous corruption in the West-Russia neither are in a postion to attack Iran, the center of terrorism since the Khomeini revolution in 1979.
Corporate-State interests in both the West-Russia have performed such a strategic role in Iran's nuclear - missile program it has in effect put Tehran in virtual control of the decision making in capitals in both regions. But for appearances sake the West-Russia have to go through the motions of doing something and make believe it will be an enormous blow to Iran's nuclear weapons program.
Obviously Iran has been circumventing sanctions, embargos, bad press and social ostracizing with no difficulty, for nearly 30 years ever since the U. S. imposed sanctions on Iran in 1979 with the seizure of the U. S. Embassy. Everyone knows the Jihad pays well. Tehran's program will continue, as crossfirewar.com has stated constantly, with the greatest weapon in Iran's arsenal - established, world wide corruption. That is why the U. S. and its Allies have somehow lead themselves to believe they can avoid the obvious, (f)allout war with Iran, or that finding Bin Laden will be a blow to terrorism, as if Bin Laden can arrange flight school training.
